having problems copying/burning DVD-Rs

I burned some stuff to a DVD-R from my tape collection. I'm unable to copy that disc onto another one on my Mac.

I've tried brining the VIDEO_TS folder into BURN and other programs, but it ends midway through the process. This also included when I created an "image" of the disc through Disk Utility. What's going on?
